Another practice worksheet.
The actual assessment experience - with the teacher resource to make it instructional.
What this is
Data Test Prep gives students the assessment experience - real-world chart, multiple-choice items in standardized format, timed - without the lesson scaffolding that props them up during instruction. That absence is intentional. The point is to find out what students can do independently when the chart is the only resource they have.
What makes it instructional is the Teacher Edition's Scoring Key & Discussion: every item analyzed, every wrong answer option explained, every common error named. The assessment becomes a diagnostic. The discussion becomes the lesson.
Real-world charts
Each pack is anchored to a single published chart from government agencies, research organizations, and global data providers - the kind of chart students encounter on standardized assessments.
Two demand levels
Standard items assess core chart reading. Advanced items push into inference, precision limits, and what the chart cannot support. Same chart, higher stakes.
Wrong answers explained
The Teacher Edition explains every incorrect option, not just the right one, so discussion moves beyond the answer key into the specific student thinking behind each choice.
Standard vs. Advanced
Standard and Advanced packs use the same real-world chart but assess fundamentally different reasoning skills. They can be used in sequence or independently depending on where your students are.
Standard · $11.99
10 items · ~15 minutes
Students demonstrate that they can read a real-world chart accurately: locating estimated values, making basic comparisons, and using chart-bounded language appropriate to the precision the chart supports.
For any class working on foundational chart reading and preparing for assessments that include data displays.
Get Standard - $11.99Advanced · $13.99
13 items · ~25 minutes
Students demonstrate that they can reason beyond direct observation: working with exact labeled values, identifying precision limits, recognizing inference boundaries, and naming what the chart cannot authorize.
For students ready for precision limits, inference, and epistemic honesty under assessment conditions.
Get Advanced - $13.99Best value
Both student packs. Both Teacher Editions. Full spectrum of readiness, from core interpretation to advanced inference, for a single chart and a single instructional window.

The chart
Every Data Test Prep pack centers on a single published chart, presented exactly as it would appear in an assessment context: large, clear, and without annotations.
Standard and Advanced both use the same chart. The chart is not the variable; the question demand is.
Student assessment pages
The student experience is clean by design: a chart page, an instruction line, numbered items in A-D format, and a suggested completion time.
No section labels. No sentence starters. No guided prompts. Students work from the chart alone, which is what makes this a readiness check rather than another practice activity.

Teacher Edition
The Teacher Edition is organized around one governing principle: use the assessment formatively by engaging students in discussion of both correct and incorrect options.
Correct option named with evidence
Not just "D is correct" - the specific chart evidence that makes the option correct, stated so you can reference it in discussion.
"Not quite" explained
Wrong options that are directionally close but misidentify the relevant value, category, or comparison are explained with the likely chart confusion named.
"Not supported" explained
Options that make claims the chart does not authorize are flagged explicitly, so students learn the difference between wrong and unsupported.
"Be careful" flagged
Options that sound precise but overstate what the evidence authorizes are named and explained item by item.
Formative use philosophy
The TE reframes the assessment as the beginning of a discussion, not a terminal score. The scoring guide is written to make that discussion possible.
Both levels covered
Standard TE covers 10 items. Advanced TE covers 13 items. The bundle gives you both complete scoring guides.
"Most test prep gives students more of what they already practice. Data Test Prep gives them the actual assessment experience - and gives teachers the language to make it teach."
Students encounter charts with no instructional context, no sentence starters, and no scaffolded prompts. They must read the chart, select the best option from four plausible choices, and move on.
Data Test Prep creates that condition intentionally. The chart is real. The format is assessment-realistic. The scaffolding is absent. And the Teacher Edition gives you item-level language to turn results into teaching.
