Chart-Ed® is an educational product and commerce site operated by Living Spiral Studio LLC. These Terms of Use govern your access to chart-ed.com, Chart-Ed classroom resources, chart creation tools, accounts, downloads, and related support services.
These terms are a practical operating draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before broad production launch or institutional contracting.
By using Chart-Ed, creating an account, purchasing a product, downloading a resource, or using the chart generator, you agree to these terms and to any purchase terms shown at checkout. If you use Chart-Ed on behalf of a school, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to do so.
Chart-Ed provides K-12 data literacy resources, classroom-ready PDF products, chart-generation tools, instructional articles, and related account/download services. Chart-Ed materials support teacher judgment and classroom instruction. They do not guarantee academic outcomes, test results, curriculum adoption, or institutional compliance.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not share passwords, download links, access tokens, or other credentials in ways that compromise account security, student privacy, purchasing controls, or product access.
Paid Chart-Ed products are digital educational materials. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, each purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, classroom, homeschool, tutoring, or internal educational use.
You may download purchased product packs for your own educational use and store them on devices you control. You may not resell, publicly repost, redistribute, upload to public file-sharing services, remove attribution/source notices, or offer Chart-Ed materials as your own product or service.
Completed digital product purchases are treated as account-based access to the purchased product pack, not as a permanent public file URL. Download links are temporary security links. When a link expires, a purchaser may sign in to the purchasing account to generate a fresh link for available purchased products.
Access may be limited, suspended, revoked, or support-assisted in cases of refund, chargeback, fraud, abuse, legal restriction, licensing issue, storage failure, product removal required by law, or other security or operational need. Chart-Ed may also replace files or links when needed to correct, secure, or maintain a product.
Chart-Ed uses real-world charts and data sources under applicable licenses, permissions, public-domain status, or fair/use-compatible educational workflows. Source attribution and license information are disclosed where available. Chart-Ed instructional prompts, standards mapping, teacher notes, and product packaging are independently created and do not imply source-provider endorsement.
Where a source chart carries a NoDerivatives license, Chart-Ed treats the chart image as an unadapted source artifact and separates it from Chart-Ed-created instructional materials.
Chart-Ed’s current default policy is a 30-day satisfaction window for individual digital product purchases. If a product does not meet expectations, contact support with the order number and the issue. Refund decisions may depend on the purchase type, delivery status, suspected misuse, duplicate purchase, payment-processor rules, and any separately agreed institutional terms.
Generator credits, subscriptions, school licenses, or institutional purchases may have different refund, cancellation, or renewal terms shown at checkout or in a separate written agreement.
You may not use Chart-Ed to break the law, bypass security controls, scrape restricted content at scale, interfere with service operation, manipulate purchases or downloads, reverse engineer protected systems, misrepresent your affiliation, or submit content that violates the rights or privacy of others.
Chart-Ed is built for educational use, including use by teachers, schools, parents, guardians, and students under appropriate adult or institutional direction. Do not submit student personal information unless the relevant school, parent, guardian, or authorized adult has approved that use and the service workflow is intended to receive it.
Chart-Ed may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, product listings, pricing, content, or workflows for maintenance, security, compliance, reliability, vendor dependency, or product improvement. Existing completed purchases should remain accessible through account downloads or support where reasonably possible, subject to the purchase, license, refund, chargeback, abuse, security, and legal limits described above.
Chart-Ed is provided on an as-is and as-available basis except where a separate written agreement says otherwise. To the extent permitted by law, Living Spiral Studio LLC and Chart-Ed are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, downloads, accounts, third-party systems, source materials, or educational decisions made using Chart-Ed resources.
These terms should be finalized with counsel before launch, including governing law, venue, dispute resolution, institutional contracting, and consumer-protection language.
We may update these terms as Chart-Ed evolves. Material changes should be posted here with a revised effective date.
