Chart-Ed® is operated by Living Spiral Studio LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how Chart-Ed collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit chart-ed.com, create an account, purchase digital products, use the chart generator, contact support, or interact with related services.

This policy is a practical operating draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before broad production launch or institutional contracting.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Chart-Ed, we may collect:

• Account information, such as name, email address, login method, and password hash.
• Purchase and order information, such as products purchased, order number, Stripe session/customer identifiers, payment status, and download history.
• Download access information, such as product package identifiers, temporary link generation, expiration timestamps, and account entitlement records.
• Support information, such as messages, order lookup requests, issue category, and contact details.
• Product and generator usage information, such as cart contents, chart export activity, credit balance, and credit transactions.
• Technical information, such as IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, security logs, and diagnostic events.
• Optional educational information only when a workflow is designed to receive it and the user or institution is authorized to provide it.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide accounts, checkout, downloads, support, and chart-generation functionality.

Third-Party Providers

Chart-Ed does not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Chart-Ed, including payment processing, email delivery, hosting, storage, analytics/diagnostics if enabled, and support workflows. Current or expected providers may include Stripe for payments, Resend for email, hosting/deployment infrastructure, database/storage providers, and other operational vendors.

Payment information is processed by Stripe. Chart-Ed does not store full payment card numbers.

Student And School Data

Chart-Ed is intended for K-12 educational use. Teachers, schools, parents, guardians, and authorized adults should only submit student-related information when they are authorized to do so and the relevant Chart-Ed workflow is intended to receive it.

Chart-Ed does not ask students to create unrestricted public profiles. If future school or institutional workflows collect student data, those workflows should be governed by school authorization, applicable privacy laws, and any written agreement with the institution.

Do not submit student identifiers, roster files, assessment records, or sensitive educational records through ordinary support forms or free-text prompts unless Chart-Ed has provided an approved workflow for that purpose.

Cookies And Local Storage

Chart-Ed uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for necessary functions such as login, cart persistence, theme preference, free export status, and checkout. See the Cookie Notice for details.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, including account authentication, payment processing through Stripe, password hashing, and time-limited download access where applicable. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we learn of a security issue that affects user information, we will respond according to applicable obligations and operational reality.

Data Retention

We retain information as needed to provide accounts, purchases, downloads, support, tax/accounting records, security logs, and legal compliance. We may delete, de-identify, or archive information when it is no longer needed.

Your Choices And Requests

You may request access, correction, deletion, or assistance with account/order information by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, security, or product fulfillment purposes.

You may opt out of non-transactional emails. Transactional messages about accounts, orders, downloads, security, and support may still be sent.

Updates

We may update this policy as Chart-Ed changes. Material changes should be posted here with a revised effective date.
